Dutch forward Tahith Chong has decided to join Inter after his contract expires with Premier League side Manchester United at the end of the season, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews today.
The report details how the 20-year-old Dutch winger has decided not to renew his contract with the Red Devils, which is set to expire at the end of June. Chong has only made 14 first team appearances for the Manchester based side since his arrival in July of 2018. The 20-year-old has reached a five-year agreement with the Nerazzurri, who beat competition like Juventus and Barcelona for his signature.
Chong will sign a contract with a rising wage structure, the report continues. In the first year he will earn €1.5 million plus bonuses, which will rise to €1.75 million in the second year, €2 million in the third year, €2.25 million in the fourth year and finally €2.5 million plus bonuses in the fifth and final year. The deal will be fully finalised once the Coronavirus emergency subsides.
The player will be immediately sent out on loan in order for him to develop, the report continues. Sassuolo, Hellas Verona and Parma are all keen on signing him on a season long loan.
