According to BBC reporter Simon Stone, Manchester United plans to reject any offers for captain Bruno Fernandes before the summer transfer window closes.
Last week, the BBC learned that Turkish giants Galatasaray, as well as Serie A powerhouses Juventus and Milan, were considering whether to make an offer to Manchester United to test the club's resolve to keep their captain, Bruno Fernandes.
It is understood that Galatasaray was preparing to submit an offer to Manchester United, with the final transfer fee potentially reaching €50 million (approximately £42.7 million).
However, sources from Old Trafford suggest that Galatasaray's move might just be a waste of time.
Last summer, Manchester United told Bruno Fernandes that he could decide whether to accept a huge offer from Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal. Bruno Fernandes later admitted that the club's attitude at the time made him feel "hurt." But this time, Manchester United has made its position clear.
The club stated that it has not yet received a formal offer for the 31-year-old midfielder, while emphasizing that Bruno Fernandes will not be sold at any price.
Bruno Fernandes currently has one year left on his contract, with an option to extend for another year. It is confirmed that the player himself prefers to stay at Manchester United.
The £57 million release clause in Bruno Fernandes's contract has now expired, and Manchester United and the player have not yet reached an agreement on a new contract.
