The Brazilian is enjoying the fact that he has been picked in Europe, after playing against Young Boys in midweek
Andreas Pereira is enjoying playing in the Champions League for Manchester United, after returning from the loan wilderness.
Pereira came off the bench as United beat Young Boys 3-0 in midweek, in what was only his 16th senior appearance for the club.
The attacking midfielder spent last season on loan at Valencia, after taking in the 2016-17 campaign at Granada.
Pereira impressed sufficiently to be kept at the club by Jose Mourinho this season, and the 22-year-old is glad of the chance to prove his worth.
“It is very good for me. I am learning a lot," he told the club's official website. "I just want to make sure I can do the most for the team and help us win. Hopefully, I can do more and more in every game.
“I think it was a very good performance from the players. Winning 3-0 in the first away game, I think is very good, it gives confidence for the team and we have to kick on now.”
Indeed, Pereira will face off against his former side in Group H, when United take on Valencia, and he is eagerly anticipating the encounter.
“Yeah, it is my old team, I was there last season," he said.
"Hopefully we can win those games against them as it would be good for our Champions League chances. I still speak to some friends that I have there and they will be good games.”
Pereira played against both Leicester and Brighton, the latter of which was a shock 3-2 Premier League defeat, but was dropped thereafter, missing the 3-0 thumping at the hands of Tottenham, and the subsequent wins over Burnley and Watford.
Nevertheless, Pereira is confident of his side recording a fourth straight win when they face Wolves this weekend.
“Yeah, we are confident of getting a fourth win in a row. We have to keep winning and show that we are the best.”

I'd take him over Mctominay or any u21 central mids. A new CM either Fabinho/Bakayoko/Matic they'll take Fellaini spot. Pereira Fellaini Carrick would be a decent backup mids.
do you want to call out #carrick from retainment ?

Pereira is a class act. We need more pf him. Gomes will be pushingbtjrough in a few seasons. Would be nice to see pereira established by then. If lingard can get a start surely pereira should.
Are you a chelsea fan or a united fan

Well I see a better future for him than Mctominay coz honestly speaking although he tries Mctominay shows no skill, desire or creativity whereas Pereira is good with the ball
Well McTominey is much like a Matic type of player He is not known for his creativity but McTominey is really good with his passing reading the game and is very good at holding the ball which Mourinho loves to do after leading

I really hope he becomes an integral part of the team. He has the ability no doubt but the most important part is that he has a footballing brain which is so very important specially in a midfielder. I have always rated him above Januzaj , I really really hope he comes good

Some people are completely wrong. Give op a break, if you dont have anything to add to the discussion then dont comment. Anyway good effort OP. I do believe that Periera could be a key start to our season.

Rooney is leaving behind a hole in the squad, not the first XI. James wouldn't be interested in the role Rooney just left. Regarding Pereira I think you are drastically underrating him. He's been better then Adnan over the past two preseason, and he performed this year in la Liga. Without question he is good enough to be a squad player and we are already short of midfielders.

My honest prediction is: We will sign a 10 this window (possibly James) to fill the marquee hole left by Rooney's departure. That signing will close the way into the team for Pereira (he will be behind them/Mata/Mkhi if we play 4231; will be nowhere if we play 433). Pereira will hang around until January before going on loan mid-season. I don't think he will make more than ~10 appearances for this club in his career. Seems a good prospect + had by all accounts a solid loan spell. But every indication is we will be signing/we have players to play his position and that position is itself not essential and can be removed by a formation change to a 433. I don't see him having a career here.

I think it's often goes aside during conversations about Jesse being good enough or not, but we shouldn't underestimate the effect of seeing guys like Jesse and rashford being promoted . From rotational players or youth team players, they can look at them and be encourage that a path to the first team is possible if you continue to work hard and improve. If we were to retain Pereira this season then that would be another boost to morale to the non stars.

Well this must've taken a lot of time out of your day so here's an upvote, I do have an odd feeling that Pereira will end up becoming a starter this season.
