Manchester City have completed the signing of 18-year-old midfielder Claudio Gomes from Paris Saint-Germain.
Gomes has been training with City in pre-season and is currently with the team on their International Champions Cup tour of the United States.
The youngster was not eligible to officially sign for the Premier League champions until his 18th birthday on Monday, but he has now agreed terms and finalised his switch from PSG.
Gomes made only five appearances for PSG's Under-23 side in the UEFA Youth League before leaving the French champions.
Man City describe the teenager, who is the captain of France's Under-18 side, as "quick, strong and an excellent tackler with great vision and energy".
"He has been so good, so good," City manager Pep Guardiola told the Manchester Evening News of Gomes.
"My opinion is that at that age you have to play. You need minutes, if not with us then with the second team.
"But it could be like what happened with Phil Foden and Brahim Diaz - he could stay with us, because from what we have seen in these days, the impression is good, so good."
Gomes could now feature for City in their remaining tour matches against Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
