Man Utd among clubs planning summer move for Barcelona outcast Vitor Roque

It’s becoming clear that Vitor Roque may need a temporary move away from Barcelona in order to continue his development, especially after recent comments from head coach Xavi Hernandez, who appears to not fancy the Brazilian teenage forward.

Since arriving during the winter from Athletico Paranaense, Roque has only made 13 appearances (2 starts). He hasn’t featured at all in any of Barcelona’s last four matches, which included the defeat to Girona on Saturday.

Reports have emerged that Barcelona will look to loan Roque out for next season, so that he can continue developing away from the Catalan giants. If that avenue is explored, he wouldn’t be short of suitors, with MD reporting that Manchester United, Napoli, Lyon and Nice are all showing interest in the 19-year-old, alongside La Liga duo Sevilla and Real Betis.

Barcelona signed Roque for an all-in fee of €61m, but for now, they do not seem to value him very highly, and that’s especially the case for Xavi. A loan may be the best move as he aims ti kickstart his career in Europe.
