Manchester United are one of the teams 'interested' in Bayern Munich prodigy Jamal Musiala, according to reports.
Though Germany were humiliatingly eliminated from their group for a second successive World Cup, Musiala still impressed with some sublime displays in the tournament. The 19-year-old dazzled with his mazy dribbling and assisted the equaliser in the draw with Spain.
Musiala's displays in Qatar came after he enjoyed an even better start to the campaign with Bayern, having scored 12 goals and laid on a further 10. The Bundesliga giants already have the wonderkid's contract secured until 2026 but have grown concerned his displays at the World Cup may have piqued the interest of rivals, reports Fichajes.
It's claimed Real Madrid have been awoken to the possibility of signing the former England youth international and Bayern have moved to open talks to give him an even longer contract as well as a pay rise in response. It's added United, as well as Liverpool, have also been showing interest in Musiala but the Bundesliga giants are confident of keeping hold of him thanks to his status as an undisputed starter in Julian Nagelsmann's side.
United are well-stocked in attacking midfield and wide areas and instead will be focused on signing a new star striker in 2023. The club is currently drawing up a shortlist with Napoli frontman Victor Osimhen understood to be one of the potential targets.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also reportedly interested in one of United's young stars - Alejandro Garnacho.
The exciting winger has broken into the first team under Erik ten Hag, scoring winning goals against Real Sociedad and Fulham. Relevo report that Los Blancos have noticed his potential and are keen on signing him.
It's claimed they consider the Argentine international, who was born in Madrid, as "one of the great stars of the future" and are monitoring his situation. However, despite popular belief, Garnacho's contract does not expire in 2023 and his current deal actually runs until 2024, with the club holding the option to extend it by a further year.
