Manchester United are on the verge of signing Manuel Ugarte (23) from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Le Parisien, with the two clubs nearing an agreement on a fee of around €60m, meaning that Les Parisiens won’t miss out financially on a player they bought just one year ago.
Ugarte joined PSG from Sporting last year in a €60m deal. Whilst the Uruguay international began the campaign well, he gradually lost his place in Luis Enrique’s side, playing a peripheral role by the end of the season. It is thought that Ugarte’s weaknesses in possession made him a suboptimal fit in Luis Enrique’s system, with Sports Zone reporting that his transfer was one sanctioned before the Spaniard’s arrival on the touchline.
Just one year later, and after a long summer of tough negotiations, Ugarte looks set to depart. An agreement with Manchester United on a fee around €60m is close, as per Le Parisien, with only final details to be resolved. All parties are confident of the deal being concluded in the coming days.

Squad A, B & C under my assumption. MAN UTD should definitely sell either Antony or Sancho this year. Also hearing the past news, I think that chilwell would be the perfect signing for the team when compared to Jarrad Braithwaite or Sergio Regulion. And also, United should sign either Frankie De Jong or Manuel Ugarte this year to make this team the strongest team ever as every gap has been filled. And also this year, United should give more opportunity to Hannibal Mejibri and Daniel Gore this year in any silverware tournaments too
