Manchester United one step away from ending Frank Ilet’s ‘no haircut challenge’

Ilett began his reign under Erik ten Hag and retained his barnet during Rúben Amorim’s 14 months, a period in which the team slipped to 15th place. What began as a personal challenge transformed into a social media phenomenon with two million followers, even attracting sponsorships from hair care brands.

However, fame also brought hostility; on September 20, 2025, Ilett was physically assaulted at Old Trafford by a fan who questioned his loyalty. In response to the criticism, Frank linked his challenge to charity: once he achieves his fifth victory, he will donate his hair to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children with cancer.
