Pep Guardiola remains confident Manchester City can still win the Premier League title, warning Arsenal that "many things can happen" during the run-in.
City claimed a dramatic 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Sunday, coming from behind after a superb Dominik Szoboszlai free-kick, thanks to Bernardo Silva and an Erling Haaland penalty.
And it could have been more, but Rayan Cherki's goal from his own half was ruled out for a foul by Haaland on Szoboszlai, who received a red card for having also pulled back the Norwegian in a frantic finale at Anfield.
That win moved City back within six points of Arsenal, and that gap could be down to three by the next time the Gunners play Brentford on Thursday, with Guardiola's side hosting Fulham a day earlier.
Arsenal remain strong favourites to clinch their first Premier League title since 2003-04, winning 90.1% of the Opta supercomputer's simulations.
City's chances sit at 8.2%, but Guardiola has not given up hope on overhauling Arsenal.
"We are six points behind," Guardiola said. "OK, it is a big gap, but many things can happen, so it's better to have the three points.
"Who knows if six points is enough [for Arsenal], but 13 games is a lot and the FA Cup is coming, the EFL Cup final too, the Champions League is back in March, and injuries will happen.
"There are also other teams playing for things – European positions, fighting against relegation and playing against teams in a relegation battle means they are trying a lot to survive, and it is a proper game.
"So, 13 games from experience is a lot of time. It [the run-in] is so, so difficult, but the important thing is to be there.
"All we can do is breathe down the neck of Arsenal, being there, and try if they slip, if they make something [a mistake], use it.
"We have to play them [Arsenal] at home, so of course we have to beat them."

Rule out United at own perils. 13 more games to go. United have to face Chelsea, Liverpool & Aston Villa which are in top 7. Others are relative easy opponents. Expect 32 points from 13 games surely. United tally could be 66. Top 3 finish guaranteed.

He thinks it one of those seasons where he'll come out to instill fear into fellow title contenders, lol, pep should go sit his ass out! 6pts gap is very very massive for us, if it was the other way round, He wouldn't see anyone catching his team in that position. Arteta owns this season. Period!
more then 10 games to play and one match against each other ,, yeah six points is huge but it only needs two bad matches to nullify ..If it was mancity or Liverpool who were 6 points ahead even Manchester united people may be 80-90 percent in their favour but it's arsenal even if they were 10 points ahead at this stage 70-80 % believe that they can still bottle it who knows may the best team wins ..
