Marca: Raphinha to officially extend Barcelona contract until 2030 on Thursday

According to Marca, Raphinha will officially sign his contract extension with Barcelona president Joan Laporta at the Spotify Camp Nou offices this Thursday, local time, tying him to the club until 2030.

The renewal was agreed weeks ago, and the signing and official photo session will take place on Thursday. The news comes as the Brazilian international is in the best form of his career.

Raphinha scored again in Tuesday's Champions League league phase match against Aston Villa, once again proving to be a decisive, game-changing player. This season, he has scored 19 goals in just 13 appearances. He missed the Champions League match against Galatasaray and the La Liga match against Getafe because of edema in his right hamstring, an injury he picked up on international duty with Brazil in October.

Hansi Flick has deployed him as a center forward this season and has started him in every match he has been available for. The only exception was the match against Betis, when he came off the bench after returning from injury.

The Barcelona forward is La Liga's top scorer with 15 goals. He is also one of the most dangerous players in the Champions League, with 4 goals.

Raphinha and Ronaldinho

With his current 19 goals this season, the Brazilian international has now scored 94 goals for Barcelona in 190 appearances, and he has also provided 60 assists. That equals the tally of his compatriot Ronaldinho in a Barcelona shirt, although Ronaldinho needed 207 games to reach that figure.

With these excellent numbers, Raphinha will sign his contract extension with Barcelona until 2030 tomorrow, as the club had planned. The signing ceremony will take place at the Spotify Camp Nou offices with Joan Laporta.
