Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio insisted he "still trusts" Luciano Spalletti as their head coach, despite calls for Antonio Conte to return.
Spalletti took over from Igor Tudor as Juve boss in October 2025, but his team failed to qualify for the Champions League last season after finishing sixth in Serie A.
Overall, the 67-year-old has won 24 of his 44 games at the helm (D12 L8), with four of those wins coming from their opening six games this season (D1 L1).
Juve are seventh in Serie A after five games, with Spalletti's side keeping the joint-most clean sheets in the league (three – level with Lazio, Roma and Cagliari).
Despite sitting just three points behind early-season leaders Roma, some Juve fans have called for Conte, who left his post as Napoli boss this summer, to return to the Bianconeri.
Conte won three Serie A titles with Juve during his previous stint between 2011 and 2014, winning 67.6% of his 151 games in charge (W102 D34 L15).
Marchisio, who played under Conte, believes Juve need to give Spalletti more time before thinking about making a change.
"The nostalgia for Antonio, of whom I'm also very fond, has and always will be there," Marchisio told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"It was like that during Allegri's time and also for the years that followed. Conte is Conte. But we need continuity, and so I still trust Spalletti.
"The injuries, especially the one to [Kenan] Yildiz, have hurt a lot, but Juve should never look for excuses.
"I expect that they will return to fighting for the top positions from Christmas onwards. I also hope to be one of the main sides in the Europa League.
"Juventus should aim to win every competition and the cup shouldn't be taken for granted either. We haven't lifted a trophy for 30 years in Europe. That should be enough, shouldn't it?"
