It's often said that you shouldn't go back in football, however Porto's Moussa Marega is shattering that belief. The forward originally arrived at the club in January 2016 but scored just once in 13 games - with nine of those from the bench - and he was subsequently sent out on loan.
Fourteen goals in 31 appearances for Vitoria Guimaraes in 2016/17 saw him recalled by Sergio Conceicao and with 22 goals in 29 games last season he helped Porto end their own drought and Benfica's four-year stranglehold on the Liga NOS title.
Marega is now making history in the Champions League. His goal against Roma means he has scored in each of his last six European appearances. Only six players have achieved the feat: Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, Burak Yilmaz, Marouane Chamakh, Edinson Cavani and Marega himself.
The Malian has broken Porto's record, held by Jardel who netted in five consecutive games in 1999/2000, but is still some way short of Cristiano's 11.
He will go in search of his seventh against Liverpool, and he can make a real difference in this match with his pace. His movement opens space for himself and for his teammates.
"I had a special feeling when I scored my first against Galatasaray," he said to UEFA.com of his streak when it stood at five games.
"I'm very happy, especially because I didn't score last year."

Yes, he can aim to score but not against Liverpool, cos even if he manage to beat Van Dijk, he still have to get past Alisson, which is very difficult. Liverpool to win by at least 2-3 goals with our front 3 on target. YNWA

Not only has he been heavily linked with a move to a PB league, he has also proved that in the biggest club competition of them all he is able to time and time again deliver goals. Looking forward to seeing if he can do it again tomorrow.
