Marotta: Lautaro is not for sale; we will sign a new striker if the right opportunity arises

Ahead of Inter's opening Serie A match at home against Monza, Nerazzurri chairman Marotta spoke to DAZN.

"As defending champions, we need to raise our standards, and our opponents will fight even harder. We will maintain the same objectives and winning culture that have set us apart in recent years," said Marotta.

Regarding the rumors linking Lautaro to Barcelona

"Lautaro is our captain and embodies Inter's current identity. There is absolutely no possibility of him leaving. We will never let him go under any circumstances or for any price; it is simply not an option."

"We are ready to act on any opportunity that emerges and remain in constant dialogue with the head coach. This is possible thanks to the full backing of the owners, who have also increased their investment in recent years.
