Internazionale President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta spoke at the club's shareholders' meeting, reviewing the team's achievement of winning two domestic titles last season and detailing the club's progress in finance, women's football, youth academy, and new stadium construction.

Marotta's Speech

Dear Nerazzurri,

Today, it is with immense pride that I address you, looking back at a season in which we secured our third domestic double, adding our eighth and ninth trophies since 2020.

Internazionale won their 21st Serie A title and 10th Coppa Italia: in Simone Inzaghi's first season managing Inter's first team, the team wrote a new glorious chapter in the club's history, bringing countless thrilling nights to all of us.

In last season's European campaign, the team did not fully unleash its potential, so we must continue to raise our standards and face challenges with responsibility, commitment, and firm determination.

The season, which concluded on June 30, also marked the U23 team's debut in Serie C. This is a crucial technical-sporting project for the growth of youth academy talents and a strategic tool for the club.

Internazionale Women qualified for European competition for the second consecutive time and, for the first time in their history, reached the UEFA Women's Champions League group stage, continuing their growth trajectory of recent years. Internazionale strongly supports women's football, which complements the club's technical projects.

Off the field, the club experienced a season of financial consolidation. Following the entry of Oaktree Capital as the new shareholder, the restructuring efforts aimed at building sustainable long-term development further accelerated.

The financial statements submitted for your approval confirm a significant strengthening of the club's economic and asset position. Revenue once again exceeded 500 million euros, a net profit was achieved this fiscal year, financial expenses were lower than the previous fiscal year, and capital returned to positive after a long time.

The pursuit of balance between sustainability and competitive performance will not stop, and we believe we are on the right track.

The 2025-26 season kicked off in the United States and concluded with the summer tour in Hong Kong, China, and Perth, fully demonstrating Internazionale's focus on global branding and activities for fans worldwide. The number of digital channel followers exceeded 100 million, a 20% increase in a single season, setting a global record in our industry.

Growing on the field and globally, expanding the boundaries that define us. These goals continue to guide our work.

In recent months, Milan has been more Nerazzurri than ever, not just on trophy celebration days. We conquered the city, from Piazza del Duomo to San Siro, feeling the passion of the fans. But the grandest project is still taking shape.

Last November, we completed the acquisition of the San Siro Stadium and the surrounding metropolitan area. Soon we will share with you the design results of the new stadium in Milan, transforming the entire neighborhood into a new hub characterized by sports and entertainment, vibrant and open to citizens. This is an investment aimed at building a magnificent stadium, a new urban landmark, a venue that will finally reach advanced standards and support the ambitions of Internazionale and all its fans.

This owned stadium will also become a strategic platform, enabling Internazionale to increase revenue and close the gap with top European clubs.

The club has also launched investments to support the development of training infrastructure, starting with the Inter Training Center in Appiano Gentile, which will upgrade existing facilities and build new pitches to accommodate the U23 team, while expanding the women's and youth academy facilities in Corlo, providing comfortable and efficient workspaces for staff and athletes.

During the summer transfer window, the Serie A champions' squad was strengthened by the introduction of international talents. We know that continuing to lead in Italy and making a qualitative leap in European competitions is not easy, but we will face the challenges of the three competitions with the sense of belonging and work culture characteristic of the team led by coach Simone Inzaghi.

Football is the foundation of our identity, and the stadium is always at the core of all our work. But today, being a great club also means understanding how our choices affect society and the environment. This is why, today, while announcing financial results, Internazionale also released its first Sustainability Report.

This document expresses our willingness to carry out a systematic process, incorporating existing practices into the system, understanding their impact, and more clearly identifying areas for improvement.

This is our attitude, constantly striving for progress, treating every success as a new beginning. We accept challenges and face them with tenacity, remaining authentic on the path forward. The support of all fans is the fundamental nourishment for our ambitions. Thank you to each and every one of you for the continuous care you provide to all components of the club.

Forza Internazionale!
