The agent of Marquinhos has reportedly sounded out Manchester United as a potential destination for his client.
Brazilian centre-back Marquinhos has previously been linked with a move to Old Trafford in years gone by.
His representative Giuliano Bertolucci has reportedly been contacting numerous top European clubs to gauge whether there is any interest in him.
Paris United are claiming that United are one of the teams that have been contacted.
However, Marquinhos remains happy at Paris Saint-Germain and it is unlikely that any move would happen this summer.
Martial handed United lifeline
Anthony Martial will be handed a final chance to save his ailing Manchester United career.
Martial endured a tough third season at United last term and looked set to leave this summer, with Juventus and Tottenham both interested in the versatile forward.
But with Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford on extended breaks following their World Cup exploits in Russia, Martial will be give the opportunity to shine in their enforced absence.
Martial, a £36million signing from Monaco on transfer deadline day in September 2015, will lead United's attack against Leicester in the first Premier League game of the new season on August 10.
The forward, left out of France's World Cup-winning squad because of a lack of game-time at United, has been given a reprieve by Mourinho, who is understood to have told Martial it is now or never for him this season.
With Cristiano Ronaldo having joined Juventus from Real Madrid in a £105m deal, the Serie A side have ended any interest in Martial, while Tottenham's efforts to land the 22-year-old look to have been fruitless.
Mourinho gives Dalot update
Jose Mourinho expects Manchester United new boy Diogo Dalot to miss the first month of the season.
Defender Dalot joined United from Porto in a £19m deal earlier this summer but has been struggling with a knee injury.
He has travelled to the United States for United's pre-season tour but will play no part and is unlikely to feature until September.
“Dalot is injured. We knew that but we didn't want to lose him because of that," the United boss said.
"He is recovering really well. We think he can start training with the team when we go back to England.
"He is not going to be ready for the start of the season but we think he'll be ready for September.”

So far, what ManU lacks is a clinical finisher in the mould of Bale, Sala, Aguero, Kane, Ronaldo, Messi, Costa, and the likes. We don't really have a consistent one at the moment - I mean one by performance and not one by prospect. Lukaku isn't bad, but he needs support; He needs more spirits up front, not weak ghosts. Martial is not a fighting spirit like Bale, they both sat on the bench, last term, but when ever Bale is put to play in Madrid, He unleashes the beast in him; that is not the case with martial who is very slow to prove his mettle in ManU. He needs to wake up he is not growing younger, he needs to let out the star in him. I am his fan, and just want to see him rise, we don't need another Nani- A Star that couldn't shine.
Well said Buddy, he cried for time to play..now that Coach has assured him for the chance in the pitch, we are waiting for him to proof Jose wrong that he does not deserve to be on the bench..

I am not in support of the defensive style of game been played by the United coach . It is not given many players the opportunity to express themselves & create scoring chances . Paul Pogba , for example , is good when attacking rather than defending . Sanchex can be made to play #9 instead of Lukuaku , who is not in form . Rashford is better at the left side of the attack and not at the right side .
I am sure you did not watch the World Cup or may be you didn't noticed what Pogba was doing. In defending Pogba blocked more shots than his fellow midfielder, made more clearance, more tackle, cover more distance than Kante and Maturdi. Kante 61 recovered more ball than Pogba 21. If you analysed everything you will find out that Pogba played exactly what Mourinho always want him to play for Manchester United. Defend and attack. Watch the Movement of Pogba when he scored his first goal which was later count as an own goal and the his second goal in the final, you will noticed that Pogba came from back and made his way up front. Problem of Pogba is that he wants to be like Messi and only focused on attack and have little or not impact in defending. Pogba with his height, strength and power have the abilty to defend and to attack. leave Mourinho allow, when Pogba played very well against Manchester United you and people like you never give Mourinho any credit but each time Pogba played bad you guys will start pointing finger at Mourinho. Even Messi can play bad at times. CR7 was bad last season till towards of end of the season and he picked form. Stop attributing Pogba lost of form to Mourinho even Before the World Cup, Pogba was bad even Deschamps said it that Paul needs to put more effort and he did that during the World Cup and have to continue with that in the EPL.

I don't know how people just keep hating Smallings and Jones. Their efforts last season helped us concede lease goal than all other teams in EPL except for Mancity. If they were that bad, and our defense that porous we would have conceded more goals last season. What ManU needs now is not defence but Attack, Attack, Attack and Attack.
i agree with you, that's why I said pogba and martial because they will play on top form with attacking football ( peace).....

TBH I will love to see Smalling stay and Jones leave Smalling will be good as backup as he is much experience with PL and is good to play against teams less competitive Plus he is good in the air and which is beneficial at both ends of the field for us
Tbh Jones is much better than Smalling. From my point of view Jones cannot be partnered with Smalling in the middle of our defence, he need to be partnered with Bailly or Rojo. Smalling is our weakness link he's so clumsy. Romagnoli of Milan or Maguire would be nice addition.

there will be 2 challenges for mourinho to do next season which are: - play attacking football and get the best out of pogba - get the best out of martial and return the performance that was with monaco do you think he will succeed? who believe so? 👌👌👌👌

Martial is a Very Good player, his runs upfront has been always Superb...Give him time to show what he can do in the pitch.. in fact I wanna challenge Mourinho, that come next Season if Lukaku or Sanchez does not score consistently, Put them on bench and let Martial Play...I bet He will score..You can't play someone who is called a striker 10 consecutive Matches without him scoring and yet you have someone on bench who can score for you... All am saying is we don't want lazy people in the pitch, no one is special if someone is not performing, let him seat on bench.. Sometimes Lukaku is one of the Victim and even Sanchez, we want Goals then Points not names in the pitch who are just good for nothing..

If i was Martial, i would have left United earlier in January this year. He can not play when Sanchez is fully fit. He cant help the team recover from lost balls even though he might be good with the ball. United needs a player like Sanchez in that position, a player that will fight for the ball when he looses it. But not a player that will stand or walk after loosing the ball like Martial does. Am in support of our coach for benching some players, they might deserve it in United. But if they try otherwise then it might be the opposite. Love Man Utd

Giving Martial another chance to revive is career is a good gesture from man united. He has given the club a lot since is arrival. He performed in a topping way and deliver match winning performances. But his form is questionable for in two seasons now.Hopefully he can pick his form and be the best he wish to be.
