Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has compared the absence of Neymar to that of Lionel Messi, with the French giants losing 2-1 away to Lyon on Sunday night.
Neymar will miss around nine weeks due to injury, meaning that he will miss PSG's last 16 tie against Manchester United in the Champions League.
"Is it complicated to play without Neymar?" Mbappe was asked post-match.
"Go to Barcelona and ask [Ernesto] Valverde if it is difficult to play without Messi," the 20-year-old responded.
"Go to Juventus and ask [Massimiliano] Allegri if it is difficult to play without [Cristiano] Ronaldo.
"Yes, it's difficult.
"But that's the way it is, you have to accept it - it's a part of football.
"Last year he was injured too, and it would be nice if we don't make the same mistakes as last season, otherwise it means that we didn't learn anything."
That loss to Lyon was PSG's first defeat in Ligue 1 this season, after 21 games.

If you guys watch PSG's matches, you'll realize that the French media is just over hyping him when Neymar is the Man pulling the strings

This shows Mbappe's young mentality isn't yet be matured why can't you be the man to carry Parisians on your shoulders as you did in world cup with France, you still need to learn a lot about self confidence

its difficult for barca to play without messi, Chelsea without hazard but not Juventus without cr7 cause they're still a threat with or without him. But I'm disappointed in mbappe, he should be able to step up if his partner is out instead of giving such excuses
