Kylian Mbappe's participation at the Club World Cup is at risk after Real Madrid confirmed the forward has been hospitalised.
Mbappe had missed Real Madrid's opening match of the tournament on Wednesday due to an illness.
An update from the club on Thursday confirmed Mbappe has been admitted to hospital.
'Our player Kylian Mbappe is suffering from an acute case of gastroenteritis and has been admitted to hospital in order to undergo a series of tests and follow the appropriate course of treatment.' a statement read.
