Chelsea transfer news: The Blues could look very different when they face Liverpool next month with the potential additions of Kylian Mbappe, Michael Olise and Rayan Cherki.
Chelsea's squad still needs plenty of work doing to it before the new season starts. Kepa Arrizabalaga's uncertainty in dealing with Brighton's early crosses as well as the positional struggle of Conor Gallagher in a deeper role both took some of the gloss off of a strong performance.
Armando Broja is in the mix to be a striker option when the season starts but will be working off the back of no competitive action since December 2022 and without a proper pre-season behind him. Jackson, for all his promising early signs, is inexperienced at the top level and has just one year of top flight football under his belt.
Mudryk and Sterling seem to have locked down the left side but neither have shown just yet that they can be relied upon in a similar vein. There's certainly plenty of promise in the attack but little sure-fire evidence to go from heading into what promises to be the most competitive Champions League race yet.
It means that with three weeks to go until the Premier League opener against Liverpool there is a lot of unknowns about the Chelsea attack. They are still being linked with a host of forwards and given the promise but lack of elite level proof of quality, it is unsurprising to see fresh links emerging.
Maatsen is not a certainty to hang around in the squad with Burnley keen to sign him permanently over the summer. Moreira and Angelo Gabriel are both teenagers and could also be set for loans. That depletes the flexibility in Pochettino's line-up and does up the chance for at least one striker to come in with a right winger also being considered.
football.london sees Olise as the best stylistic fit due to being a Premier League proven player and would likely cost less than Kudus and Cherki who are both expected to fetch more than £40million ($51m) each. As a former Cobham academy player too, there is a certain poetry and beauty to his return.
With the Crystal Palace star in on the right of a front three behind Mbappe, yes we're going for it, Nkunku is the No.10 with Mudryk keeping his place in a truly rapid and dribbling extraordinaire of a front four.

Stop wasting our data with this Mbappé sign for Chelsea nonsensé. Mbappé would never watch Champion league on TV next season. even if he'll watch it on TV, he'll be PSG player not in the squad.
He's a Chelsea fan. Forget about him. But he should really stop waisting our data
