Mbappe sparks Real Madrid transfer frenzy amid Chelsea 'phone call'

Chelsea transfer news: The Blues are expected to make an offer for Kylian Mbappe as PSG ready themselves to sell their French star with Real Madrid lurking.

Real Madrid fans are doing their best to lure Kylian Mbappe to Spain as the striker's future remains one of the most talked about transfers this summer.

It is said that Mbappe is now due a £51million ($65m) loyalty bonus from the club despite being in a position to be sold this window as PSG look to cash in on their player before the end of his contract in 2024.

With the reported belief from PSG that he has already agreed to join Real Madrid next year no matter what, clubs across the world have the chance to sign Mbappe this summer but with the caveat that he may well be off to Santiago Bernabeu shortly regardless.

Amongst the teams looking into such an opportunity are Chelsea. The Blues have been after a statement signing with a true world superstar ever since Todd Boehly took over the club with Clearlake Capital in May 2022. They have explored a deal for Neymar as well but it's Mbappe that now looks the most likely player to move.

It is now the turn of Madrid fans to get excited as they try to convince the World Cup winner to move early. Bombarding his most recent Instagram post, which was captioned with the Monaco flag and a red heart, Madrid supporters flocked to his comments.

There are images of Carlo Ancelotti and Vinicius Jr gesturing towards themselves whilst other GIFs of the Madrid badge or players celebrating winning the Champions League filled the responses.

One fan wrote: "Number 9 in madrid is waiting for you" after one of the images in his post included a set of three playing cards all with the number nine on. Another said simply: "Welcome to real madrid." One user took a step back and instead asked him to join, writing: "Come to real Madrid."

For Chelsea there is no sign of such fanatic behaviour but supporters may well be hoping that it won't matter and that Boehly can work his magic to secure a deal.
