Mbappe's 24-hour visit to Madrid: Where did he go? What did he do?

Kylian Mbappe unleashed madness in Madrid on Monday as he went on a relaxing trip with his friend Achraf Hakimi that provoked all kinds of journalists and fans to get a photo and video of the Frenchman, who is wanted by Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old went with Achraf, his brother and other friends to Dani Garcia's Lena restaurant, which he entered with hardly any witnesses at the door and left in a hurry in the Paris Saint-Germain right-back's navy blue Audi S3.

From then on, there was madness and all kinds of speculation, including around PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who was also in the capital to attend an ECA (European Club Association) summit.

It was Deportes COPE who reported that Mbappe was in Madrid.

Mbappe spent a good part of the afternoon with Achraf at his home, a villa near Pozuelo de Alarcon.

Mbappe and Achraf have become close friends, even though they have only been teammates at PSG for just under a year.

In the middle of the evening, at around 7:15 pm, the two left Achraf's villa to go to the Eurostars hotel, where the French star was staying. Mbappe stayed there before going out again in the evening to get to know Madrid and some of its most fashionable clubs.

Getting to know Madrid

Mbappe was not bothered by the circus surrounding him. The PSG forawrd was aware of the commotion that his presence in Madrid had caused, and in the evening he went with Achraf to another well-known restaurant in Madrid.

But first he had to avoid all the press and fans who were waiting outside the doors of the Jazz club at the Amazonico restaurant in the centre of Madrid, very close to the Puerta de Alcala, where they had a reservation ready for Monday night.

Sergio Ramos and Keylor Navas had planned to go there to enjoy the food and the atmosphere of one of the city's trendiest clubs, where the artist Paradyse was in charge of entertaining the PSG players.

But, at the last minute, and given the commotion that had formed at the door and also aware that they would bump into Al-Khelaifi, they changed their plans.

Al-Khelaifi, along with other members of the ECA, also had a reservation in the restaurant, which is also frequented by football professionals on Champions League nights. Several deals have been cooked up here in recent months ahead of the summer transfer window opening.

Finally, Mbappe went to the Quinto Elemento restaurant on Calle Atocha, whose futuristic decor with wooden mosaics represents an enveloping earth and where the interactive LED screens in the dome simulate the sky.

Night in Madrid

After dinner, Mbappe went to rest, aware of all the commotion that his presence in Madrid has caused. But he didn't mind.

As he does on the pitch, Mbappe enjoys being in the spotlight and had a great time feeling the atmosphere of what could be his home city from July 1.

In Madrid, it was a spring-like, almost summer's day, with the temperature in the middle of the day reaching 30 degrees Celsius.

In the end, the PSG star did not meet his club's president, who learned of his player's presence as he left the ECA meeting. Both will leave the Spanish capital this Tuesday, May 10, after a hectic visit.
