A deal to take Barcelona forward Vitor Roque back to his native Brazil is on the verge of being completed, with Palmeiras now preparing a medical for the 19-year-old forward. Currently on loan at Real Betis, the Blaugrana are hammering out the final details with Los Verdiblancos, but it looks as if the deal will get done.
According to Relevo, Palmeiras are preparing tests for Roque, having closed an agreement with Barcelona for €25m plus bonuses in exchange for 80% of Roque’s rights. It’s a deal that Barcelona are keen to do, having gone above and beyond to get permission for the deal from FIFA to complete it outside of the transfer window. Something that has not gone down with La Liga, and has further strained relations between the two entities.
Roque has agreed personal terms with Palmeiras, and is set to become their highest-paid player, and the final detail to fall into place is for Barcelona to settle on compensation with Betis. Barcelona have proposed to exchange the breaking of Roque’s loan for 30% of Ez Abde’s rights. The Moroccan moved to Betis two summers ago, but Barcelona retained a 50% sell-on fee.
It is added by Sport that Barcelona could also agree to a loan deal with Betis in the summer as a makeweight, and it is hinted that the club from Seville expressed an interest in bringing Pau Victor to the club in January. The ex-Girona forward has been starved of opportunities this season since the return to fitness of Ferran Torres. They also note that the bonuses Barcelona could be due from Palmeiras could be as much as €5m, and that the deal now has the green light from the RFEF.
Roque started the majority of La Liga games under Manuel Pellegrini before the winter break, but with Cedric Bakambu now fit, and Cucho Hernandez being signed in the winter window, Roque has slid down the pecking order. This season he has seven goals and two assists in 33 appearances.

i prefer to keep him because he is a talent and Lewandowski is getting older instead of signing a new striker I think we can use him in the future so don't sell him🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🙏🏻

they think because theyre good outside of Europe, that they will be great in europe. europe has the toughest leagues. also the brazilians seem to require the most work to get them used to playing in europe. ALMOST, all brazilians have a tough times at first, the good ones stay, the bad ones go. however, 80% or more of, these players have a wild character and i think thats the hardest part for them. also stop signing these kids and immediately saying, "they're the next greatest player ever" it destroys them. theyre too young, too much pressure. good luck vitor, wish you success bro

this boy should have been more patient and improve himself through Lewandowski rather than wanting to play immediately besides he needed to get used to the new league and Barca style of play.hope he comes back to Europe again and show his quality
