Lionel Messi told Neymar he will leave Barcelona in two years, trying to persuade him to return this summer, according to France Football.
Neymar had been close to a Barcelona return this summer, but eventually, the deal collapsed.
And French media outlet France Football reports that Messi himself had sent a message to Neymar, trying to convince him to come back.
"We can win the Champions League only if we play together, I hope you can come back," wrote Messi to Neymar after Barcelona's 4-0 defeat to Liverpool.
"I'm leaving in two years, and you'll be alone, you will take my place."
On the other side, it was Mbappe and Verratti who convinced Neymar to stay at PSG.
