Lionel Messi is in a proud mood after claiming his record sixth Ballon d'Or.
"As I have said on the stage, it was unthinkable for me to even think about one, so imagine six..." said Messi.
"I am very happy to have won six Ballon d'Ors, I am the only one so that's a big recognition that makes me proud."
When asked about if anyone can break his record in the future, Messi said: "I am sure, but I don't know who it will be.
"The records are to be broken and there is always someone who overcomes them. I don't know who and when.
"[Mbappe?] Yes, it could be... I don't know who, but I am sure someone will do that at some point, but right now I am the one and I am very happy."

Sarri treats ronaldo as shit. He doesn't even know how to use him but my barca are using Messi well. If sarri remains in juventus then ronaldo will never touch the balon dor again. But his individual starts this year was not bad but not too good enough. I remember the year modric took the award. Messi was the highest goal scorer in Europe but did not future in the top 5 and no one cared so we don't give a fuvk about how ronaldo feels. Cuz his performance was mediocre. He thought he will leave real and be the altimate as usual but this time around his in Italy where everybody works for them selfs not for him like in real.

guys use common sense, it's not only by winning trophies its about having a good season. messi had a good season compared to the rest. yes he won only laliga, but he was the top scorer of laliga, UEFA, Europe and leafing with assists. if it's about only trophies then players like mahriz, benado silver should have been top contenders as well. it will only take a fool not to realize that messi had and have been carrying barca on his shoulders whereas as the other contenders they have full support from their team mates (team work)
