In Argentina's final warm-up match before the World Cup, Argentina defeated Iceland 3-0. Messi, returning from injury, quickly scored after coming on as a substitute and later posted on social media to boost team morale.
In this match, Messi came on as a substitute in the 70th minute. After coming on, he completed a turn in midfield with his first touch and delivered a precise through ball, helping Lautaro get a one-on-one opportunity. Although Lautaro's chip shot against the goalkeeper went wide of the post, the referee awarded a penalty.
Subsequently, Messi personally converted the penalty, helping Argentina extend their lead to 2-0. This was also Messi's first goal since returning from injury.
After the match, Messi posted a photo on his personal Instagram and wrote: "We are more united than ever (Vamos mΓ‘s juntos que nunca)."
With this goal, Messi also set a record, becoming the oldest goal scorer in the history of the Argentine national team.
With the 2026 World Cup approaching, Argentina concluded all their warm-up matches with a 3-0 victory, and the timely return and goal of captain Messi undoubtedly injected more confidence into the reigning champions.

It seems to me that Lautaro is the main problem of Argentina. He may score some spectacular goals occasionally but we are going to witness for sure that he will fail to score the most easiest chances.
I was glad when he was selected because of his performances for inter Milan last season π€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈ
