Messi and Neymar inseparable in first open training session at PSG

It was always assumed that Neymar and Lionel Messi would play together once again, although few would have put money on it being at Paris Saint-Germain, yet the pair were inseparable during their first open training session together in the French capital.

The media were gathered to see Messi work with his teammates for the third time in total ahead of PSG's Ligue 1 match against Strasbourg on Saturday.

Messi will not be involved in that fixture, but he is training fully alongside his Argentine compatriots, Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes and Mauro Icardi.

The cameras were focused on Messi throughout the entirety of the session, showing him and Neymar constantly joking together.

Messi's debut will have to wait, since he himself has confirmed that he's barely had a pre-season, and there are hopes about an initial appearance on either the August 20 or 29 against either Brest or Reims respectively.

If PSG decide that he isn't fit enough to play in either of those fixtures, Messi will be able to build his match rhythm whilst on international duty at the end of the month.
