The Spanish news outlet Diario SPORT reveal that the Barca dressing room say no to the signing of Griezmann.
On Diario SPORT cover today they revealed that "Barça's wardrobe says No to Griezmann", as the dressing room did not sit well with his announcement of not coming to Barça. They also explain that Leo Messi has confessed to his colleagues that he never called the Frenchman, as he had assured himself. The captain considers that it is not the type of reinforcement that the team needs.
Spanish journalist Robert Gomez has said that there was contact between Messi and Griezmann before.

That's why Barca lacks in champions league..barca always give interest to buy a future player but not in a experienced player and gave all pressure in Messi....but they have to think now grizzy will be a perfect placement for Luis... And after all we need a left back and I think K. Tierney will be a great backup for jordi and he is only 21 years old from Celtic.... I think De ligt deal is done.. When did the dressing room start saying who we should buy and who not to? We are becoming a losing club because of depending on opinions from players who themselves can't deliver for us. We need to challenge the positions of players such as Pique, Roberto, Alba, Busquests, Rakitic and Suarez because they all think they are untouchable. Like in Man City, we need a coach who can make decisions about players without being interfered by either the board or some players who think they are better than the club. We need a coach that will sell the deadwood and rest those who underperform. Our players should be on the pitch based on merit of their performance and not on price tag or their dressing room shenanigans. I hate what Xavi said, though painful but true , 'until the time Barca goes back to its way of total dominance in football, we won't win the UCL anytime soon.' Valverde is clearly not the man to help us right now, and it pains me that the board is okay with such a coach that was dominated at home by Liverpool (a team known only for running). Barca has to sack Valverde and make sure the dressing room won't interfere with club matters in the future. Look now we are overthinking whether to buy De Ligt or not because we have Pique in the squad. How crazy is that, we would prefer to sell Umtiti and let Pique continue ridding his mediocrity in the team. Again, we don't want to bring Griezmann because of the relationship between Messi and Suarez. Truth be told, if we don't get a coach with balls to deal with these so called 'untouchables' we will still be complaining next season. We are tired of using La Liga and Copa Del Ray as scapegoats. We want the UCL, let's play our way and am sure we will win.

Irony isn't it?? They're old, they play badly and still have the guts to decide who the club should sign. Isn't that enough proof to suggest that they are extremely comfortable in that club as players? This further shows the reason Valverde should go, those players know that with a new manager people like Suarez, Busquets, Alba, Rakitic will no longer be starters hence the reason they want Valverde to stay.
