The race for the European Golden Shoe has been lit up this weekend by four-goal hauls for both Mohamed Salah and Mauro Icardi, which were followed by Lionel Messi's own strike.
Ahead with 28 goals is Liverpool star Salah, who has a lead of three over Messi before Edinson Cavani, Harry Kane and Ciro Immobile sit on 24 goals.
Icardi's display against Sampdoria has him in amongst the top pack, where Robert Lewandowski and Benfica striker Jonas are also making themselves known, although the Portuguese league carries less weight when it comes to this particular continental leaderboard.
