Messi'll NOT quit PSG for Barca return despite says his wife unhappy in France

Lionel Messi will not make a shock return to Barcelona despite claims his wife is not enjoying life in France, according to reports.

The 34-year-old only left the Nou Camp last summer after Barcelona's financial crisis led to him making the move to Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

But just halfway into his first season in the French capital, the Argentinian has already been linked to a return to the Catalan giants.

The talk of a PSG exit comes after Messi's wife, Antonela Roccuzzo told her husband she is unhappy in Paris and is reportedly piling the pressure on to move back to Barcelona, according to El Nacional.

The couple's three sons are reportedly struggling to learn French and are missing their friends in Barcelona, while Antonela is also missing her lifestyle and the weather in the Catalan capital.

His friends and former team-mates Xavi and Dani Alves are also reportedly trying to convince Messi to return to the Nou Camp.

However, despite the allegations, The Sun reports that there is no chance of the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner leaving the Ligue 1 side after just one season.

Messi has not hit the dizzying heights expected in the French top-flight after managing to register just one league goal after seeing his campaign disrupted by injury and Covid.

But, his deal at the Parc des Prince runs until 2023 and Messi reportedly intends to honour the contract.
