Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven is due to fly into London this weekend for a medical ahead of completing a £43million move to Tottenham and signing a five-year contract.
This comes after Mailsport revealed that Ange Postecoglou's side were on the verge of signing the defender.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a successful season with Wolfsburg, leading to interest from several European clubs.
However, it is Spurs who have sealed a deal for the defender as he is set to fly to London this weekend for his medical.
The two sides agreed a £43million fee as the Netherlands U21 defender is set to sign a five-year deal.
A potential deal was previously held up as Van de Ven was part of the Netherlands U21 squad to compete at the European Championships.
Unfortunately for his side, the young Dutchmen drew all three of their group matches and exited the tournament.
The defender was impressive, playing every minute as his side conceded just twice in the tournament.
Van de Ven will likely partner Cristian Romero at the heart of the Tottenham defence as Postecoglou gets his man a week before the Premier League season begins.
Tottenham face Brentford on the opening day, and Harry Kane's future remains doubtful as Bayern Munich pursue a move for the England captain.
It remains to be seen as to where the forward will end up this summer, but Postecoglou will no doubt want the transfer saga sorted out sooner rather than later.
