Tammy Abraham struck late to earn Milan a 2-1 huge victory over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League to keep their hopes of a top eight finish alive.
Match Report
The Rossoneri have now won four consecutive games in the competition and sit just a point outside the automatic qualifying spots with two games remaining.
Red Star almost stunned the San Siro into silence in the 17th minute when Andrija Maksimovic's volley struck the crossbar with Mike Maignan well beaten.
But Milan found themselves in front three minutes before the break when Rafael Leao superbly controlled Youssouf Fofana's pass before finishing into the top corner.
However, Red Star substitute Nemanja Radonjic restored parity in the second half, with the Serbia international rifling a left-footed effort beyond the grasp of Maignan.
With the game set to finish all square, Abraham sealed a dramatic win from close range after Ivan Gutesa had tipped Francesco Camarda's header onto the crossbar.
Data Debrief: Milan beginning to catch fire
After a difficult start to his tenure at Milan, Paulo Fonseca has finally stamped his authority on his side, with the results now beginning to come for the Serie A side.
Milan's latest triumph saw them win four consecutive Champions League matches for the first time since a run of five victories between February and April 2005.
And so often their talisman, Leao sent Milan on their way to victory. He has now scored in consecutive appearances in the competition for the first time.
But his goal was brilliantly set-up by Fofana, whose two Champions League assists have both been to the Portugal international. The Milan midfielder has four assists in his last seven games in all competitions, as many as he had in his previous 52 games for Milan and Monaco combined.
