3'GOAL! Milan 0-1 Inter (Vecino)
VECINO MAKES IT THE PERFECT START FOR INTER! 1-0 to the Nerazzurri as Rodriguez allows Perisic to hang a deep cross to the far post for Martinez, who intelligently nods centrally, into the path of Vecino who hammers an awkward half-volley into the roof of the net!
51'GOAL! Milan 0-2 Inter (De Vrij)
ANOTHER STRONG START TO THE HALF LEADS TO A GOAL FOR INTER! 2-0 now to the Nerazzurri who get some insurance after a quick free kick allows Politano to curl a precise cross to the head of De Vrij who is inexplicably left without a defender. Milan have it all to do now as Inter tighten their grip on the match!
57'GOAL! Milan 1-2 Inter (Bakayoko)
MILAN ARE BACK IN THE MATCH THROUGH BAKAYOKO! 2-1! Calhanoglu takes a free-kick from a central position well outside the penalty area but he manages to hang it high enough for Bakayoko to rise and power his header past Handanovic! The angle wasn’t favourable, but the Turkey international is known for his set-piece ability, and it came off perfectly there!
67'Penalty Goal! Milan 1-3 Inter (Lautaro)
MARTINEZ MAKES IT 3-1 FROM THE SPOT! The striker makes no mistake as he fires his penalty into the bottom-left corner! The two-goal lead is restored for the visitors!
71'GOAL! Milan 2-3 Inter (Musacchio)
IT’S GAME ON ONCE AGAIN AS MUSACCHIO CLAWS IT BACK TO 3-2! Another short-corner routine pays dividends, this time for Milan as Suso receives a pass from Calhanoglu and fires it towards the back post looking for a team-mate. The ball finds an unsuspecting D’Ambrosio who gets a knee to it, knocking it towards Handanovic. The goalkeeper has to make a reaction save but Musacchio is there to react quickest and hammer the ball into the net!
Match Report
Inter beat bitter rivals AC Milan 3-2 in Sunday's thrilling derby to move above their neighbours in the Serie A table, with Lautaro Martinez's penalty ultimately proving decisive.
Luciano Spalletti, who was sent to the stands in the closing stages, had seen his side win just once in five competitive outings amid the ongoing stand-off with Mauro Icardi, but they produced a focused display to end Milan's five-match winning Serie A streak.
Inter were superior to Milan all over the pitch in the first half, with Matias Vecino's early goal setting the tone for proceedings until the break, before Stefan de Vrij made it 2-0 just after the interval.

This match stole my day, really it was like the milan derby of early 2000's . Hell yeah it was better than all the three el clasicos.

Good game from the two sides. The game tonight took the shine off El classico. This is exactly how a real derby should be. A painful defeat to Milan, but a well deserved victory for Inter. I think the two coaches and the two teams raised their heads high up tonight. What a game!

Going into the derby, Milan had the advantage of being in winning form and the Inter side was ridden with internal struggles and the recent humiliation of bowing out of champions league first and then the Europa League where they were touted as the favourites to reach the final.A lot of people presumed that the Milan derby was going to be one sided but how wrong everyone was...Inter started ferociously with a superb attacking mentality which caught Milan by surprise and it led to an early unexpected lead from Inter when Vecino scored. The rest of the half was all about Milan's struggles and taking a long time to get back in the game. The second half became more enthralling with Inter scoring soon but Milan were not ready to be silenced and soon got alive with their performances and as they got energetic so did the goals and the yellow cards came.Bakayako scored, De Vrij scored soon and Martinez got one for Inter as he converted a penalty, another Milan defender Musacchio scored to bring Milan back in the game.Milan were all about attacking in the end but it was not enough and life points as on other hand Inter not only get three vital points but also bragging rights of the local derby.
