Deputy Prime Minister and Milan fan Matteo Salvini is ‘ashamed’ of Gonzalo Higuain for his red card against Juventus and ‘hopes he’s given a long ban’.
Higuain was sent off against his parent club on Sunday for lashing out at the referee, while Salvini met FIGC President Gabiele Gravina, government secretary Giancarlo Giorgetti and AIA chief Marcello Nicchi in the wake of a young official being attacked during a non-League game in Rome.
"Football is the country’s mirror,” he told reporters.
“I was at San Siro on Sunday and I was ashamed by the conduct of the Milan striker.
“Despite it going against my interests as a fan, I hope he’s given a long ban.”

Because the refs job is to make decisions, they get it wrong sometimes and miss some calls sometimes. Now every player is responsible for their behavior, he’s no child and sometimes your actions could cost you more than you expect. If anything, Juve was and still his team, he’s on a loan to Milan, so what’s all the anger for? Even when Ronaldo tried to calm him down, he reacted as if he was waiting for an opportunity to tell him off, none other than management made the decision to loan him out, but he decided to lash out his anger on his Juve teammates. He’s very wrong and deserve to be punished!!!

the job of the ref is to calm and control the game cus it's humans that play it not some heartless being with no emotions but they (refs) ends up frustrating the players. I really feel for Gonzalo cus he's unlucky to get carded in the first place but he should just get over it and move on cus that what you get when playing at the highest level .at most 1 ban is enough. my humble opinion #YNWA

Yes people he behaved wrong & he should be punished, but I wonder why people only focus on that & never look at some issues that led to his anger. The ref wasn’t going to award the penalty at the beginning until the Milan players complained. Actually he awarded a foul to Juves favor first. Benatia was supposed to be sent off for the handball & that could’ve changed the course of the match. What about Chiellini’s foul on Romagnolli& many many more whistles in juve’s favor?? Why no one is blaming the ref for Higuain’s anger?? His many wrong decisions led to this. Juve could’ve won anyway cz they’re a superior side in Italy. Why always it’s in Juve’s favor?? What would’ve been Juve’s position all these years if refs were fair to the other teams?? Any player in any other team in Italy is suffering from this issue, just the Juve players are always relaxed. Bonucci have tasted this but he couldn’t handle it & now it’s Higuain’s turn.

Varosis firstly the referee mistake was corrected by VAR. Secondly Benatia could not be shown a yellow as during the action the ball was not directly on course towards the goal! This was agreed by various opinionists after the game, see Sky Italia post game analysis! as for the rest if your comments its superfluous as this has been going on for years, failing to see what's going on in other games!
