Liverpool midfielder James Milner was nutmegged by Barcelona captain Lionel Messi in last season's Champions League semi-final first leg, but the Englishman sees the funny side of it.
The Premier League side lost 3-0 at the Camp Nou, despite performing well, but Milner recognises the quality of Messi.
"The first game wasn't a fair result of the game, but football isn't fair at times," Milner said on the 'What I Wore' show on BT Sport.
"Then you've got that guy [Messi] on the other team, it's very hard to run as fast as you can with your legs closed and he can make you look stupid, but you know the free-kick he scored, the player he is, it's always going to be tough."

Messi wears jersey number 10. Sometimes he makes his opponents look like his jersey number after removing 1 from it. 😅😍😎

Barca will never have a player like Messi again. Messi’s greatness is present on and off the field of play."

oh isnt there? who has a better goals ratio in the champions league? who has more assists? if messi would have played just as much games in the CL he would have more goals then CR7. stats dont lie my friend.
forget that shit you call ratio you want to use only when it favours messi. Ronaldo became a goal scorer at 28 and forgot a out fantasy football bc he realised scoring goals win you matches. So to say considering ratios , I international wise, Ronaldo is better, Ronaldo is the best player in la liga history bc he was the quickest to reach 100,150,200,250,350 goals , he has the highest ratio for classicos with 18 goals in 9 seasons over messi 26 in 17 seasons
