Mo Salah jokingly booed by Liverpool fans for tackling his daughter during kickabout

Liverpool fans jokingly turned on their star man Mohamed Salah after he tackled his daughter on Sunday.

The Egyptian forward celebrated on the Anfield pitch after winning another personal accolade with his goal against Brighton sealing the Premier League Golden Boot and helping Liverpool to secure a top-four finish.

While he was posing for pictures with the highly-coveted award, his four-year-old daughter Makka Mohamed Salah came running on to show off her own skills which sparked huge cheers from the stands.

But Salah was quick to show her dazzling on the Anfield pitch is not so easy and cheekily stole the ball off her.

It seemed as if the 25-year-old could do no wrong in the eyes of the Liverpool fans after his record-breaking return to English football this season but they jokingly booed him after he dispossessed his daughter.

Salah Jnr seems to have won over the Reds faithful even quicker than her father, who has been a talisman since arriving from Roma - scoring 44 times in all competitions.

His stunning form in front of goal has fired Liverpool to the brink of European glory with Jurgen Klopp's men now focused on the final against Real Madrid later this month.

He has struck 10 times in the competition - only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored more.

But it has been his goalscoring exploits in the Premier League this season that has earned him huge plaudits.

The PFA Player of the Year Salah scored his 32nd league goal of the season in the 4-0 final-day win over Brighton to beat Harry Kane in the race for the Golden Boot.

It also meant he broke the record he was sharing with Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez for the most goals in a 38-game Premier League season.

Reflecting on his success, Salah said: 'They say I didn't have success here the first time.

'So it was always in my mind to have success here in the Premier League. I am very happy. I am very proud to win it.'
