Modric returns to Real Madrid training amid speculation over future

World Cup runner-up Luka Modric is back in training at Real Madrid's Valdebebas facilities amid Inter links, with Marcelo, Varane and Casemiro. Meanwhile Mateo Kovacic trained in the gym ahead of a potential loan move to Chelsea.

This was the Croatian's first day of training after the summer break. Madrid players did different exercises on touch and passing before finishing with a game on a small pitch. As is natural, Modric did not take part in the game givne he is just returning and needs to find his best fitness first.

The team finished their US tour with a win over Roma.
