Mohamed Salah’s agent has increased speculation over his future at Liverpool after posting an angry rant on social media.
Salah has just nine months left on his current Liverpool contract and will be free to talk to other clubs in January. The Reds are understood to be relaxed about the situation, which also applies to fellow star players Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
But the Egyptian sent his employers a timely reminder after scoring in the 3-0 win over Manchester United before the international break. “This is my last year with the club and I want to enjoy it," he said. "I feel I am free to play football – we will see what happens next year.”
His words were followed by reports that Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in acquiring his services next year. Liverpool currently pay Salah a club-record wage of around £350,000 per week and there have been suggestions that they don’t want to commit to forking out such sky-high figures again, with Salah now 32 years old.
With rumours swirling around his client, Ramy Abbas Issa has decided to try and put the record straight, although his words arguably do the exact opposite.
He wrote on Twitter : “FYI – all those ‘journalists’ who imply having ‘inside information’ about Mohamed’s future are making claims/posts based on absolutely nothing. Just click-w***ing. ‘Sources close to Mohamed’ don’t exist. This post is really just to tell you that they don’t know.”
Salah was previously courted by Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad, who tempted him and Liverpool by offering £100million plus £50m in add-ons a year ago. Back then, Abbas wrote: "If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC."
That ultimately proved to be the case, with Liverpool not even considering cashing in on their star player who has now racked up 214 goals and 92 assists in 352 games for the club since joining from Roma in 2017. And, speaking after the thrashing of Manchester United at Old Trafford, Arne Slot didn’t sound too concerned about Salah’s future.
“It’s a lot of ‘if’. At this moment he is one of ours and I am really happy with him being one of ours and he played really well,” he told Sky Sports. “I don’t talk about contracts from players but I can talk for hours about how Mo played today.”
Salah will be back in action for Liverpool when they take on Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. He will be hoping to continue his fine form, which has seen him notch three goals and three assists in three Premier League games so far this season.

Liverpool should extend his contract as he is still in good condition. They should not let their star players go away like for nothing as they did in mane and firmino case.
Mane was bought, he didn’t go for free
