Mohamed Salah is set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season with Egypt's national team director urging him to reject one possible transfer
Egypt's national team director has issued a warning to Mohamed Salah about moving to a Major League Soccer club. The 33-year-old is poised to depart Liverpool when this season concludes.
Salah has spent nine years spearheading the Reds' attack, helping the club secure two Premier League titles and lift the Champions League trophy. But he will say goodbye to Anfield once this campaign wraps up as he looks ahead to his next move.
Where Salah will ply his trade next remains unclear. Saudi Pro League sides are believed to be interested, with Al-Ittihad having reportedly made an offer for him previously. Another European outfit could also be a possibility.
Yet the MLS, another rumoured option, is a destination Salah ought to reject if given the chance. That's the view of Egypt's director, Ibrahim Hassan, who also disclosed two clubs he understands are keen.

"Personally, I'd prefer he stay in Europe," Hassan told ON Sport. "I've heard about offers from Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and clubs in the Italian league.
"A move to Major League Soccer? He would be too far from the spotlight. Salah wouldn't be remembered, just as I no longer remember [Lionel] Messi today; I don't even try to watch him.
"If he doesn't receive any offers from Europe, then a move to the Saudi league would also be a good option, especially with big names such as Cristiano [Ronaldo] there."
Salah confirmed his forthcoming exit from Anfield last week through an emotional video posted on social media. It began: "Hello everyone. Unfortunately, the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell: I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
"I wanted to start by saying that I never imagined how deeply this club, this city, these people, would become part of my life. Liverpool, it's not just a football club. It's a passion. It's a history. It's a spirit.
"I can't explain in words to anyone not part of this club. We celebrated victory. We won the most important trophies. And we fought together through the hardest time in our life. I want to thank everyone who was part of this club throughout my time here, especially the team-mates, past and present. And to the fans: I don't have enough words.
"The support you showed me through the best time of my career and you stood by me in the toughest times. It's something I will never forget, and something I will take with me always.
"Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life. I will always be one of you. This club will always be my home, to me and to my family. Thank you for everything. Because of all of you, I will never walk alone."

Salah form from now to the end of the season will determine whether he will actually be leaving or not and if leaving, he can go to any league where he can still be appreciated

Yes he said it clearly and one thing about him is that apart from him being a huge fan of Ronaldo, he's also not far from saying the truth. The MLS is for leisure
