Eric Dier (31) has said that he is “excited” by the prospect of playing at AS Monaco next season. The former Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur man, who has penned a three-year deal with the Principality club, has also set the objective of returning to the England set-up.
Dier’s last appearance for the Three Lions came in a 3-0 win over Senegal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, whilst it has been almost three years since his last international appearance, he has not given up on earning a recall ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
“It is always my objective to be in the national team,” began the Englishman in a press conference attended by Get French Football News. “I have 49 caps, it would be nice to have 50. This annoys me a little bit (laughs). It is an objective of mine, but you just need to play well for your club,” he added.
