According to Fabrizio Romano, AS Monaco have reached an agreement with Juventus for midfielder Denis Zakaria (26) which is valued at €20m. Meanwhile, the club has an agreement with the player on personal terms. The Swiss international is now travelling to the Principality for medical tests.
Negotiations between Monaco and Juventus have been underway for several days, and it appears that both clubs have now found common ground. Zakaria, a versatile and dynamic midfielder, is currently contracted with Juventus until 2026.
L’Équipe report that an agreement in principle is in place for the player who spent last year on loan at Chelsea., whilst the club also work on extending the contract of Edan Diop.
RC Lens, RC Strasbourg and Stade Rennais were all previously reported as interested in signing the Swiss international. It is unclear whether Zakaria is viewed as a partner to or replacement for Youssouf Fofana. It had been expected that the France international would leave the club this summer, but no club has yet made concrete advances for the player.
