Inter Milan\'s Treble winning coach Jose Mourinho is delighted seeing Cristian Chivu making a great success of his first season in charge.
Now with Benfica, Mourinho has watched the progress of his former Inter defender this term.
He told Sportmediaset: "It's very difficult to say in football, but he did something smart: he didn't become a coach by chance.
"He spent years with young players, he definitely studied, some of them play one week and the next they're already coaches.
"He hasn't had much experience, but he still came from a club with less pressure and responsibility like Parma and arrived at Inter at a time of instability.
"Obviously, winning the Scudetto at the first attempt is great."
Mourinho added: "We all know he'll win it, but he has to win it. I'm not superstitious, but I really believe in these things in football. If the math doesn't say it's done, it's not done... When he wins, I'll be there."
