if he is magic and also has almost the same number of goals in less number of matches....and also almost the same amount of success then that ends the argument..... the main diff btw them both is .. one is sheer hardworking,highly motivated, strong mentally and physically, super talented, overall incredible and the other is magic, it's a phenomenon that rarely happens, also super talented both are amazing.... for me it has always been and will always be a 50/50... both have to reign the football world.... pele,maradona,r9 are not included in this list for a host of reasons ... r9 because he did not have the kind of numbers and domestic or European success pele and maradona because they were in a totally different era.... which by the way was the "beginning" of football so the difficulty wasnt really there at all.... it was very physical though compared to modern football in terms of fouls and all... but for me and I belive many ronaldo and messi will always be the two poles of earth divided yes but united at the same time
