Jose Mourinho has continued to pile the praise on Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay after his second full season at Old Trafford.
The former United manager handed McTominay his debut in the first-team two years ago and played a huge role in the player's transformation into a valued squad member.
“I think he's more than ready,” Mourinho told Sky Sports News.
“First of all, he feels his country deeply, I know that.
“And second you have an accumulation of experience during all these years.
“Assistant manager in top clubs, first-team manager in many others.
“Now the last couple of years in Scotland, I think this challenge comes in the right moment for him.
“And I just hope that my boy can help him because Scott McTominay will always be my boy.”

I really liked how mou developed Mac tomminay. In my opinion, if you want to use an young academy player either you play him consistently and start him in most games or you don’t use him at all. Mourinho didn’t use mactomminay as a player but let him develop and let him gain experience through pre season matches. He didn’t do this with mactomminay but all young academy players. Ole on the other hand keeps on benching these players and only give them small chances to play. When you bench these young talents their quality will drop like that of a bench warmer. Ole should just stop. Don’t touch the young talents unless you want to start them every game consistently. I feel bad for players like A.Gomes, T.Chong, and etc. He’s just ruining them by making them bench warmers.

In the fullness of time, the full import of the goof that JM's dismissal in Man U will be clear for even the blind to see. To be sure, Man Utd needs a manager that is respected and feared for what he represents and has achieved. Why some people can't get this baffles me. Like I said, time will tell.
