On the 40th anniversary of Sir Alex Ferguson's appointment as Manchester United manager, the club released an official video featuring many well-known figures from football, including Mourinho, Ronaldo, Sir David Beckham, Rooney and Arsène Wenger. Together they reflected on Ferguson's contributions to the club and the legacy he left behind. In the video, Mourinho said Ferguson is the embodiment of Manchester United and will always be the boss to every coach.
Reporter: What do you think was his biggest contribution to Manchester United?
Mourinho: I think he is Manchester United.
Bryan Robson: Sir Alex wanted to rebuild the "Busby Babes." Those were his exact words when he first took charge.
Gary Neville: He respected the club's history. He wasn't intimidated by Sir Matt Busby's stature. Instead, he drew inspiration from his predecessor's achievements.
Solskjaer: Without Sir Alex, Manchester United would not be the club it is today.
Ronaldo: You know, in my opinion, Sir Alex is an expert at helping young players grow into real men. That's exactly what he did for me.
Rio Ferdinand: His teams fought for him. They were a reflection of him: passionate, tough and extremely resilient.
Sir David Beckham: The boss would win the league or the Champions League, and that very night he would already be planning for the next season. That relentless drive is the legacy he left behind.
Carrick: The standards he set, what he achieved here over such a long period, and the way he achieved it all.
David Gill: When people talk about Manchester United, they talk about Sir Alex Ferguson. When people talk about Sir Alex Ferguson, they talk about Manchester United. For me, that says it all.
Rooney: He built a team that every other club envied.
Arsène Wenger: We were a bit like two boxers, going at each other fiercely and passionately on the pitch, but the mutual respect was always there, because it was always a fair fight.
Mourinho: For me, he will always be our boss. He is the boss of every coach.

I personally think Ancelotti, and Pep has outmatched Sir Alex record at Man U so far🤔🤷♂️
Neither took a club at the depth of relegation and build an empire. Ancelotti is definitely a great coach. But he did try to do what Fergie did, by taking charge of Everton. And he failed. Same goes for Pep. He couldn't do the miracles we praise him for with any team. He was sub par with Bayern. As Coaches who came before and after him Conquered everything. Pep, is a tactical genius. No question regarding that. But he can't function without a player genius at the center capable of coaching mid game for the team. That was Xavi at Barcelona and at City he had David Silva and then later Rodri. . If you ask me, the only coach who's name deserves to be compared to Sir Alex's accomplishments is Jose Mourinho. If not for his volatile persona, He would have created an empire at Chelsea.
