Reports from Marca, AS and Mundo Deportivo all claim Antoine Griezmann did not show up this evening to travel for Atlético Madrid's preseason.
As they do each summer, Atletico Madrid have left the Spanish capital to travel to nearby Los Angeles de San Rafael for pre-season training and they've departed without Antoine Griezmann.
As a result, the wantaway forward will be sanctioned according to the club's internal rules.
The Griezmann saga took a dramatic twist on Friday when it was reported that he'd agreed to join Barcelona as early as March and when Los Rojiblancos released a strong-worded statement.

I used to like griezmann and I dont hate him for leaving us but the way he did he promised us that he would stay and said this was his family his home but he betrayed 1 year after that so now I just want him leave the club because noone is bigger than their club excluding messi and ronaldo

Guys try to understand this. griezzy or barca aren't the one causing this havoc.,the atleti board is the one making it hard for barca to sign griezman and for griezman to move to barca. earlier they have reported that they arenot going to accept negotiations from barca...and griezman had a "back" door exit. YOU CANT FORCE A PLAYER TO STAY WHEN THEY WANT NOT. This is way different to Ney's sagga

All that is happening to Griezmann,, he brought upon himself,, he's been unprofessional since the get go so now it's coming to bite him in the ass.. I don't feel sorry for him,, he tried making FCB look small by rejecting us in a childish manner so now it's all coming back to haunt him..... Had he done things the right way,, this would not have been the result.. He shouldn't expect a warm welcome from FCB,, it's plain business from the get go...

What a ridiculous move from Atletico to dictate Griezman to join the training even he has officially and publically announced his exit. Teams like PSG and Atletico who tend to jail their players although they desire to leave disgust me. I think that UEFA should add certain terms for simplifying the exit for any player whenever he desires to.
