The Barça president will personally attend the hearing, while the current PSG and Athletic Club coaches will participate via videoconference from Paris and Bilbao.
Joan Laporta, summoned in September to testify before Judge Alejandra Gil as part of the investigation into the Negreira case, will appear this Friday at the City of Justice in Barcelona to fulfill his obligation during the preliminary investigation. The FC Barcelona president is scheduled to testify at 11:30 a.m. as a witness, having served as president of the club from 2003 to 2010. This period includes the years 1994 to 2018 during which José María Enríquez Negreira, then vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees, received payments from Barça for refereeing advisory reports that were passed on to the technical staff to analyze the tendencies of the referees assigned to matches.
Luis Enrique, Barcelona's manager from 2014 to 2017, and Ernesto Valverde, who succeeded him from 2017 to 2020, have also been summoned to testify this Friday. They will do so remotely via videoconference starting at 9:30 a.m., as this newspaper has confirmed.
The current Paris Saint-Germain manager will testify from the French capital, where he has a press conference scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on the eve of the cup match against Vendée Fontenay Foot. Valverde, meanwhile, will testify from Bilbao two days before Athletic Bilbao's visit to Celta Vigo.
