Trainer Julian Nagelsmann is impressed by what Robert Lewandowski showed on Tuesday evening in the Champions League match with Red Bull Salzburg.
The Polish striker led Bayern Munich to a 7-1 victory with the fastest hat-trick ever and a place in the quarter-finals.
Lewandowski scored from a penalty in the twelfth and the 21st minute.
Two minutes after his last used penalty, the star player of Bayern made it 3-0 with some fortune, as a result of which he passed Ajax striker Sébastien Haller on the top scorers list (twelve to eleven goals).
"The action with which Lewandowski decorated the first penalty was already great," said a praising Nagelsmann after the one-sided match at the Allianz Arena.
"But I was happy with the third goal. He attacked with a lot of aggression and blocked the ball, which allowed him to score."
"We all know that Robert is incredibly dangerous in the penalty area, but overall he played very well anyway. Robert coached the others, had important runs and provided an assist. It was a very good game from him."

Lewandowski wins praise for breach of contract with Huawei
33-year-old Lewandowski, who has scored 42 goals in 35 official matches this season, already made a positive impression on many people on Monday for a different reason.
The Pole decided to cancel his lucrative sponsorship deal with Huawei, because there were rumors that the Chinese telecom company would support Russia in the war in Ukraine.
Something that Huawei, incidentally, denies.
"Robert uses his status as a role model in the media and on social media more often to raise certain issues," says Nagelsmann.
"By canceling his undoubtedly lucrative contract with a telecom company, he is sending a strong signal. It is a very valuable gesture, showing that football is not always about money."
Partly due to Lewandowski's hat-trick against Salzburg, Bayern Munich is the first club to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the twentieth time.
In the past eleven seasons, 'Der Rekordmeister' has only reached the eighth finals in the 2018/19 season.
