Napoli coach Conte lays out plans for De Bruyne: He doesn't need an introduction

The Manchester City legend joined Napoli in a free transfer last month.

Asked about his plans for De Bruyne, Conte said: "It's too early to talk about it. At the end of the year, we can evaluate the impact the player had. What is clear is that he does not need an introduction.

"We wanted to raise the quality level and with him we have undoubtedly done so.

"For years he has been one of the best midfielders in the world. He has won everything with City. Now he is taking on a new challenge and for him it is something different on all levels. I experience him as a guy who adapted very well to our environment. We are happy to have him."

Conte continued: "In our work to build a team for the future, he (De Bruyne) is important because he is already established, unlike others who are still developing.

"The others we bring in are players who still need to get better and will be here for many years. We have a lot to do, but we are ready."
