Massimiliano Allegri believes Napoli "need to find solutions" to their early-season woes ahead of their trip to Venezia.
Napoli are eighth in Serie A after winning just 10 points from their opening six games, already seeing them six points adrift of leaders Inter.
The Partenopei have also lost their two Champions League matches this season, most recently losing 3-1 against Villarreal on Tuesday.
Napoli have picked up just one point in their last two away league games (a defeat against Inter and a draw against Fiorentina); the last time they went on a run of at least three away Serie A matches without a win was between February and April 2025 (D4 L1).
While Allegri insisted he is not overly concerned about their struggles, the Napoli boss acknowledged solutions are needed.
"I'm not concerned; we need to find solutions to the problems," Allegri insisted.
"We need to manage the ball better at certain points in the match and then deal better with unexpected incidents which can happen.
"When a team is strong, even during difficult moments, and there are opponents to consider too, your world cannot fall apart. Once that moment has passed, we still have plenty of time to improve.
"We just need to work, get all the players back and available, and manage playing every three days. We need everyone.
"Unfortunately, we have lost [David] Neres again, as he has been struggling with these injuries, but [Antonio] Vergara and [Constantino] Favasuli are progressing well. They are not close to returning yet, but they are making progress.
"We also have [Scott] McTominay and others who need to regain fitness by playing, because a match is completely different."
Venezia are bottom of Serie A heading into this fixture, having lost all six of their league matches this season.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Venezia – Antoine Hainaut
No defender has been involved in more goals than Antoine Hainaut (two goals, one assist) in Serie A this season (three), level with Hassane Kamara, Nuno Tavares and Ricardo Mangas.
The 24-year-old has also delivered the most open-play crosses (35) in the current campaign, at least 11 more than any other player.
Napoli – Kevin De Bruyne
After his brace against Frosinone, Kevin De Bruyne could score in two consecutive league appearances for the first time in four years, since October 2022 (in the Premier League for Manchester City against Brighton and Leicester City).
The Belgian has been involved in seven goals in 10 appearances (five goals, two assists) since the start of August for club and country in all competitions.
MATCH PREDICTION: NAPOLI WIN
Napoli are unbeaten in 14 of their 16 Serie A matches against Venezia (W7 D7 L2), avoiding defeat in all of the last 10 (W6 D4); Venezia's last top-flight victory against Napoli was on 8th March 1942 (4-1 at the Penzo).
Napoli have won all of their last seven Serie A matches against newly promoted sides, with a combined score of 18-2. They have also kept eight clean sheets in their last nine such games, including in each of their last five.
However, there has been great balance in the eight Serie A matches played at the Penzo between Venezia and Napoli, with two wins apiece and four draws – including the most recent encounter (0-0 in March 2025).
Nevertheless, Venezia have lost all of their first six Serie A matches of the season for only the second time, after 1949-50.
So far, only three teams have lost all of their first seven matches in a single top-flight campaign in the competition's history: Benevento in 2017-18, Legnano in 1951-52 and Venezia in 1949-50 – Venezia could become the first team to record this negative record twice.
OPTA WIN PROBABILITY
