When will someone like Michael Carrick usher in an opportunity to start making progress? We can see the players he signs. So as we have seen, if he has that kind of character... Michael Carrick's demeanor, his personality, he seems to be able to cope with the hustle and bustle from the outside... but will he be allowed to grow?"

Of course, but I wouldn't sit there and say that I think Carrick will make Manchester United one of the top teams in the next two or three years. I don't see that possibility, but I would be happy to be proven wrong. Give him a chance to become great."

Bayern hired Kompany and none of their legends complained. now see what he's doing with the team. he wasn't good with Burnley yet, they saw what he could do with the right resources. it took Arteta over 5 years in Arsenal and their legends supported the process. What part logical reasoning by ways of synthesis these pundits do not understand? Was Pep a Great coach until given the opportunity? Was Arteta a good coach until given his chance? Did we know Kompany can coach like this until given a chance? That applies to all the great coaches and managers! Someone has to give you a chance to show what you are capable of. Let’s not forget the most important factor here! None of those good and great coaches would not take a head coaching position if the team is not in the position to spend big. Otherwise, the barometer of measuring a great coach would be to go to a lower division and bring them to the top divisions and win trophies 🏆.

World's top managers don't come to a club missing in the CL for consecutive seasons. They go to clubs that are a certainty to be in CL every year. Carrick is the guy to bring that stability. Nobody goes from being 15th in the table to winning the PL in 2 seasons. Not even Sir Alex or Pep can achieve that.
