A new angle of Lamine Yamal's 'phantom goal' for Barcelona against Real Madrid has emerged.
LaLiga came under fire during Sunday's El Clasico showdown at the Bernabeu after the 16-year-old thought he had given the Catalans the lead with a flick from a corner.
Yamal's effort looked to have beaten goalkeeper Andriy Lunin before the Ukrainian managed to palm the ball away from the goal.
The clash was level at 1-1 at the time, but the Spanish top flight has no goal-line technology in play.
As a result, the referee waved play on and the VAR couldn't confirm if it had indeed crossed the line, with only two angles available on the replay.
However, a new angle of the supposed goal was shared in a clip on Reddit, where it appears as if the ball had crossed the goal-line.
In the video, Real's stopper Lunin can be seen inside his goal and desperately attempting to shovel the ball away, yet the goal wasn't given.
This meant Yamal was unable to add the gong of youngest ever El Clasico goalscorer to his burgeoning list of achievements.
LaLiga's stance on goal-line technology is different to those like the Premier League, who have the technology to sort such incidents in seconds with officials receiving a signal on their watch telling them whether the ball has crossed the line or not.
Spanish outlet El Larguero reported that La Liga president Javier Tebas does not want to pay the £2.6 million the technology costs.
Fans couldn't believe that Yamal's strike wasn't given as a goal but Tebas quickly defended his league's lack of technology.
The LaLiga president posted a series of articles about moments where goal-line technology has made mistakes, including an infamous phantom goal from Sheffield United's Premier League clash with Aston Villa in 2020.
Tebas wrote 'no comment' alongside the images on X, in a clear response the the criticism.
Meanwhile, Barcelona coach Xavi raged at more perceived refereeing injustice after Lamal's phantom goal.
‘I’m not going to say anything about the referee because I will be banned if I do but it was there for all to see,’ he said. ‘We were the better team tonight and we deserved to win.
‘The referee did not get a single decision right. It’s a disgrace and we should not remain silent.
'I hoped the referee would either go unnoticed or get his decisions right but it was neither of those two things.’
Lamal's phantom goal was a costly moment for Barcelona, as, although they did go ahead through Fermin Lopez in the second half, Lucas Vazquez equalised before Jude Bellingham struck an injury-time winner.
This means that the LaLiga title race is all but over with Real going 11 points clear with just six games to play as they chase a record-extending 36th domestic crown.

this is rubbish, they showed a ball on flight, when the ball landed,it was on the line, like you said,it was at a different angle,if it was a goal,it won't land on the line, besides, some of us watched the match on being sport and they have goal line technology and it says the ball didn't cross the line, but wait o,was that the only action of the game,or brokelona looking for excuse for losing as usual

It’s hard to say without tech. Tebas should take all the balme for this. But surprisingly referees and VAR didn’t spend the time they should have been spent for the test. Issue is not that, issue was all the other fouls real didn’t receive. For an exactly similar tackle Araujo got red with PSG camavinga survived m. Modric was fouling all throughout the game but got away because he is MODRIC! Rudriger did multiple yellow card level offences but got away without single yellow! And it was the other way around for Barca. But still I was relieved that we got beaten by one goal. Before the game I thought we will lose by four or five goals but it was just one that too with referee on Madrid side.

U are really funny, did you see any goal line technology review or you are just supporting ur fifa team which get favored in every game. The challenge on yamal by carmavinga as the last defender should have been straight red same as we got that in champions league but since it’s real, it can’t be. What about the penalty given when cancelo simply blocked and Lucas deliberately hit his leg on his and a penalty was given. Or is it the one Fermin got passed and rudiger crossed his path and hit him and a penalty was no given o barca? U use use Lenses when watching football big man
